Unique Scrap Store are now running environmental workshop visits for school groups at the Unique Scrap Store building in Newark . Why not bring your group for a ‘behind the scenes view' of our innovative re-use project with art workshops and fun environmental activities. All activities are designed to help you better understand the role of re-use in protecting the environment.

  • No charge for accompanying leaders.
  • Minimum booking is 15 and maximum is 75 per session.

The 2 hour visit will include the following activities which all people will be able to take part in:

  • learn about re-use in a ‘ day in the life of scrap' ,
  • an environmental activity (to suit age range) i.e. quiz or scrap hunt
  • an art workshop where you will make individual pieces to take home or a giant scrap sculpture which can be delivered to your school or group!

What is Unique Scrap Store?

Unique Scrap Store is the first online scrapstore in the UK. We operate in a similar way to other scrapstores however Unique Scrap Store is the first to offer online ordering and UK mainland delivery. Unique Scrap Store is a social enterprise which exists to support the Unique Coffee Bar charity (1092205)

Scrapstores operate by collecting industry's usable, safe and clean waste products and offering them for sale at low cost for arts and play projects. Regular collections are made from key businesses in the area. The products are brought back to our central warehouse where they are sorted. Then, general public, leaders of groups including schools, play organisations, drama groups and youth groups come along to the Unique Scrap Store and collect the products which they take back for use in play and arts projects.
